Tasting Notes:
A magical and deep crimson magenta color invites one to lift the glass and inhale the subtle and breathtaking bouquet, beginning with hints of honey and molasses while filling the senses with aromatics of burnt sugar on the edges of a freshly baked rhubarb cherry pie. Upon another gentle whiff, the smells of ripe purple plums, along with spicy notes of white pepper and clove, carries one back home to the first taste.
The wine presents in the mouth as bright and dense with a pleasing balance which gives way to chewy tannins that linger delicately after the last sip. New flavors of Asian dried cherries and brown sugar mix well with the graphite and slate undertones. To finish, one can detect a very slight, exquisite flavor of Sicilian Lemon Preserves. Quite an incredible and memorable mouthful!
